

RoadSafe groups deliver over 100 local road safety initiatives each year that are consistent with State and Local Government strategies. These may target drink driving, speed, fatigue, older road user safety, young drivers, pedestrian safety, bicycle safety, road safety for children, child restraint use, motorcyclist safety and vehicle safety.
RoadSafe has prioritised Alcohol and Other Drugs and Speed as their two statewide programs in 2005.

The Saferoads initiative aims to reduce the incidence and severity of crashes in municipalities. The initiative is the result of a partnership between the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV), Local Government Professionals (LGPro), Transport Accident Commission (TAC), Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV), Victoria Police and VicRoads.
RoadSafe groups support the use of the Safer Driving Kit which helps assists businesses to develop and implement safer driving policies including purchasing safer fleet vehicles and educating staff.
RoadSafe and VicRoads work with the Victorian Country Football League to target drink driving in regional Victoria. The partnership aims to:
RoadSafe groups raise community awareness of local speed issues as well as advocating for and supporting Government initiatives to reduce speed limits in high-risk locations.
An education session, delivered by trained presenters, about responsible consumption of alcohol and strategies to avoid drink driving. An initiative of RoadSafe, Looking After Our Mates is supported by Victoria Police, TAC, Australian Drug Foundation and VicRoads.
